Alarmalight is a new generation of visual and sound alarm combined for pedestrians and cyclists, which has already been fitted onto
Veolia fleet of refuse vehicles in the city of London. The increasing number of cyclists in our cities requires vehicles with limited visibility, such as trucks and buses to be more vigilant.
Alarmalight is a voice alarm coupled with a warning light. It needs to be fitted close to the danger zone, i.e., at the blind spot. When a vehicle change direction, a voice alarm says: "Attention, this vehicle is turning right" automatically and the powerful warning light goes off. Cyclists and pedestrians located on the road or the footpath are informed by a powerful alarm, which is going to attract their attention, regarless of their degree of vigilance (Speaking on a mobile phone, listing to music with headphones, reading a map, etc...)
